The need of this blog is to provide detail knowledge about each and every step in ASIC(Application Specific Integrated Circuits) back-end.

Invention of (IC) Integrated Circuits was begun in 1942. The growth in the devices is
1942 –> electronic switches and vacuum tubes
1946 –> ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integration and Calculation)
1948 –> transistors
1965 –> (IC) Integrated Circuits

After the invention of transistors the integration started and rapid reduction in area is achieved .ie from 1000 nm to 32 nm. Technology come into picture only when the front end (verification) part is completed.
